Molten-Salt Reactors

For years I have read up on molten-salt reactors. They have the promise to revolutionize the power industry while running off thorium, a nearly limitless radioactive byproduct of mining. They can't melt down and they product a fraction of the nuclear waste as current reactors. We didn't go with this design originally in the 60' most because nuclear grade weapons materials can't be bred in these reactors. I am glad to see movement back to this idea. But as always the US is lagging behind in such technologies that will disrupt the fossil fuel industry.
